AEG Live partners with POW! theater outside San Diego
AEG Live, which already has a considerable presence in the San Diego, CA area, has added another venue to its stable of facilities. The 800-seat, city owned Poway Center for the Performing Arts (POW!) in Poway, CA, near San Diego, and AEG have become partners for the venue’s upcoming season.
Under the partnership, AEG will assist venue’s POW! Foundation in booking performers for its 2008/2009 Professional Performance Series. A September 15 concert with Judy Collins and Leo Kottke kicks off the new partnership. Tickets are priced at $45 and $65.
"AEG Live’s clout in the talent marketplace will enable the foundation to bring intelligent entertainers like Judy Collins to Poway that we could not afford to book on our own," Poway Executive Director Henry Korn said in a statement. "Our new partnership is unprecedented and represents a match made in heaven."
Upcoming performances includes Kris Kristofferson, Celtic violinist Natalie MacMaster, Broadway singer Ken Page and Los Lobos’ David Hidalgo and Louie Perez.
In addition to POW!, AEG Live already books Qualcomm Stadium, 4th & B, the San Diego Sports Arena, and Valley View Casino.
