AEG Live has signed a new partnership deal with leading family entertainment producer and presenter ThemeSTAR, which has produced and presented shows in more than 25 countries. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but among the shows ThemeSTAR has produced include "Dora the Explorer Live - Dora's Pirate Adventure," "Looney Tunes Hollywood," "Scooby-Doo! in Stagefright Live on Stage," and Cirque du Soleil's Quidam.
Under the new partnership, called AEG ThemeSTAR, the two will be developing and securing intellectual property rights to produce and present arena spectacles and family entertainment worldwide.
"ThemeSTAR has always been dedicated to building strong relationships throughout the global live entertainment industry," said Mark Avery, CEO, ThemeSTAR, in a statement. "By creating AEG ThemeSTAR, our ability to promote and produce quality entertainment that connects with audiences across cultures will be lifted to even greater heights."
"It has always been a goal of our expanding live entertainment portfolio to build our family entertainment division into a major force that mirrors AEG Live’s music and comedy touring, festival and exhibition divisions," added Randy Phillips, President and CEO of AEG Live. "We are very fortunate to have this opportunity to co-venture with ThemeSTAR."
