Bob Dylan to sell concert tickets from his Web site
In the age of artists looking for new ways to ensure that their fans get a fair shot at purchasing tickets to their shows, music icon Bob Dylan is planning to perform a special concert for fans who acquire tickets by visiting his Web site, bobdylan.com. The show is scheduled for November 21 at the United Palace Theatre in New York City, and this ticket offer is not available for other tour stops.
"Tickets will go on sale on October 30 at 10 AM ET. All purchases will require a password which will be posted on Dylan's tour page before tickets go on sale. However, this is not a pre-sale in the usual bobdylan.com fashion. There will be no general public on-sale. All tickets will be sold via the password published on bobdylan.com. There is a limit of four tickets per customer," the Web site stated. Pricing information was not released.
"All tickets in the first 10 rows will require a pick-up at the venue's box office the night of the show, and purchasers must present a valid i.d. and the credit card used to make the purchase," the press release continued.
There will be Hot Seat Packages available for this show, also on sale starting October 30 at 10 AM. The package consists of a premium top-priced ticket, an exclusive tour merchandise item and a collectible laminate.
Dylan has no new music album release; however, Bob Dylan's "Tell Tale Signs," the eighth installment in the best-selling and critically lauded Bootleg Series which launched 1991, was released on October 7.
