Broadway tickets at bargain prices

By Ian Hough

Two Broadway productions, Cry Baby and A Catered Affair, are offering irresistible deals for theater fans for performances scheduled for Saturday, May 10.

A search on Ticketmaster.com on Tuesday, May 6, turned up center orchestra tickets for "Cry Baby" at $120 a piece, not including convenience and shipping charges. On TicketLiquidator, the same center orchestra Cry Baby tickets are selling for $98 each, minus convenience and shipping charges.

As for "A Catered Affair," a search on Tuesday, May 6 on the primary ticket website Telecharge.com showed center orchestra tickets for $119.50, minus convenience and shipping charges. Ticketliquidator.com offered those same center orchestra tickets to the May 10 show for $108 plus convenience and shipping charges.

"Cry Baby" is the popular 1950s-comedy musical, based on the movie of the same name, that outrageously parodies various subjects including rock and roll, schizophrenia, arson and the Catholic church.

"A Catered Affair" is a tale of domestic Bronx strife in a bygone decade involving war, marriage, poverty and class struggles.
