Bruce Springsteen tour planned following Super Bowl halftime performance

Have you ever longed to hear "Tunnel of Love" or "The River" or "The Rising" or any other of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band's albums played in their entirety in concert? If so, you might be in luck this year.

Springsteen and company are planning a road trip after their February 1 Super Bowl halftime performance that will encompass 50 to 60 North American and European shows, according to Rolling Stone magazine. The tour will support his 16th studio album, "Working on a Dream," which will be released on January 27.

Springsteen performed full albums in concert only once before when he performed "Born To Run" and "Darkness on the Edge of Town" in their entirety at a benefit show at the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank, NJ, on May 7, 2008.

But before his Super Bowl halftime show and before the tour, Springsteen will perform a free concert on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial on January 18 as part of the inauguration welcome event for Barack Obama, according to The Washington Post. There is no word as to whether this will be a solo performance or if he will be joined by the E Street Band.
