DMB saxophonist injured, tour goes on

Dave Matthews Band's saxophonist/backing vocalist LeRoi Moore was injured on June 30 in an ATV accident on his farm outside Charlottesville, VA and was immediately transported to the University of Virginia Health System for treatment where he remains in fair condition, upgraded from serious.

Béla Fleck and the Flecktones' saxophonist, Jeff Coffin, began sitting in on July 1, while Moore recovers.

The Dave Matthews Band is currently touring amphitheaters throughout the United States playing two nighters in West Palm Beach, FL; Noblesville, IN; Troy, WI; Los Angeles, CA; and Chula Vista, CA. They are also performing for three nights in Gorge, WA and Berkeley, CA.

DMB has played numerous stadiums and multiple nights in stadiums throughout its notorious career becoming a huge concert draw. In recent years, they scaled back for more of an intimate presentation.

In 2007, the group grossed $41.1 million touring and placed #11 in the year-end touring charts, according to the touring trade journals. In 2006, DMB grossed $39 million.
