Janet Jackson tour returns to the road after multiple cancellations
After cancelling six shows for health reasons, Janet Jackson returns to her Rock Witchu tour October 11 in Uncasville, CT, at the Mohegan Sun Arena.
"Janet, who has been under her doctor’s care and recuperating over the last week, is excited about getting back on the road and again being able to share with her fans what she feels is one of her best stage shows ever," concert promoter Live Nation said in a statement.
Jackson cancelled a string of concerts in Montreal, QC at Bell Centre (September 29), in Boston, MA at TD Banknorth Garden (October 1), Philadelphia, PA at Wachovia Center (October 2), Greensboro, NC at Greensboro Coliseum (October 4), Atlanta, GA at Phillips Arena (October 5) and Fort Lauderdale, FL at BankAtlantic Center (October 7). The cancellations came after she became ill and was rushed to the hospital during a pre-concert sound check on September 29 in Montreal. A September 27 concert in Auburn Hills, MI, was also postponed due to production constraints.
Jackson is on her first North American tour in seven years.
