Jerry Seinfeld, James Taylor to headline Newman's charity event
Actors Joanne Woodward, Julia Roberts and Robert Redford are hosting "A Celebration of Paul Newman's Hole in the Wall Camps" on June 8 at Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center in New York, NY.
The featured talent for the evening is violinist Joshua Bell, pianist/singer Harry Connick, Jr., singer Art Garfunkel, cellist Yo-Yo Ma, comedian Jerry Seinfeld, R&B vocal group Take 6, and singer-songwriter James Taylor. Hole in the Wall campers will also be appearing.
Ticket prices for the show start at $50. Pricing for benefit tickets, which include admission to the main event as well as an after-party, start at $1,500.
The concert will celebrate Newman's legacy as the founder of the Hole in the Wall Camps, which are billed as "the largest family of camps for children with serious and life threatening medical illness." Newman's Own Foundation is underwriting the entire concert so that 100 percent of the ticket sales will go to the Hole in the Wall Camps Foundation.
Newman passed away in 2008.
