Jonas Brothers tour gets in gear for '12 Days of Christmas'
For the second time in a month, Live Nation has found that the genie can't be put back in the bottle when it comes to a major tour announcement and legions of eager and attentive fans.
Just a couple weeks after Kanye West and Lady GaGa's tour was teased with early announcements only to be put back under wraps for a few days as details were solidified, the same has now seemingly happened to sibling sensation the Jonas Brothers.
Late last week, Live Nation listed 11 confirmed dates for the Jonas Brothers 12 Days of Christmas Tour, only to have the dates evaporate from the site shortly thereafter. Though the official itinerary's existence was only a blip in the grand scope of the Internet, the details were live long enough to draw fans' attention and start making the rounds online.
Even for fans who didn't take screen caps of the official listing, the pages still exist in the realm of Google's cached pages. Event listings for all dates of the tour can be pulled up using a simple Google search with the tour name and "Live Nation" as key terms.
Cached pages from September 25 show that fan club presales were originally scheduled to start today, September 28, followed by public onsales on October 3. The current event pages for the tour -- which are searchable on Google, though not actively linked on Live Nation -- simply state that tickets are "Unavailable."
A Live Nation spokesperson could not comment on the tour, referring TicketNews instead to the pop group's management. M2M Construction, in turn, did not immediately return requests for comment.
According to these page searches and the information disseminated by the Jonas Brothers' loyal fans, the holiday-themed 12 Days of Christmas Tour will launch December 1 at BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, FL, and continue at least through December 14 at New Orleans Arena in New Orleans, LA.
Ticket presale and onsale dates are not yet confirmed. And, similar to the earlier West and Lady GaGa situation, additional concert dates and itinerary changes could be forthcoming.
