Kenny Rogers tour maps more U.S. dates for 2009 calendar
As he prepares for the launch of his annual Christmas tour, iconic country crooner Kenny Rogers is already gambling that fans will want to see him again in the spring. The singer has added nine more U.S. concerts in April, following a previously announced jaunt in Ireland and a recently added trek across the UK.
Rogers's spring tour kicks off April 16 at Warfield Theatre in San Francisco, CA, and is currently scheduled to wrap May 2 at Buffalo Thunder Resort & Casino in Santa Fe, NM. The trek will be based in the Southwest region of the U.S. and includes an April 24-26 run at the Orleans Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, NV.
Before launching his Christmas tour on November 16 at the Save on Foods Memorial Centre in Victoria, BC, the Gambler has two regular concerts in the Northwest. The first show is November 13 at the Wymoing Center in Gillette, WY, and is followed by a November 14 gig at the Four Seasons Arena in Great Falls, MT.
The previously announced holiday tour ends December 21 at the France-Merrick Performing Arts Center in Baltimore, MD, but the U.S. trek continues in 2009 with a dozen more shows from January 23 through February 28. A six-date tour of Ireland starts in March, followed by the additional 10-city UK trek detailed in the itinerary below.
Over the course of his acclaimed career, Rogers has released more than 20 studio records, four collaborative works and four holiday albums. He has also been featured on more than 20 compilations, including his most recent commemorative record "50 Years," which he released in August. Rogers's last studio record of new material was 2006's "Water & Bridges."
