Lenny Kravitz tour cancels remaining Canadian shows

Lenny Kravitz has canceled the remainder of his Canadian tour starting with the November 5 show at GM Place in Vancouver, BC. The tour was scheduled to go through November 17. According to a post on his Web site, Kravitz is suffering from "severe throat problems that have resulted in him not being able to sing or even talk."

It seems that Kravitz has been fighting respiratory problems since earlier this year. The musician was forced to postpone the mid-February start of his European tour by a week because of illness when a respiratory tract infection turned into bronchitis.

Due to bronchitis, Kravitz rescheduled his March 24 show at Ottawa's Scotiabank Place to October 25 at a different venue and city, John Labatt Centre in London, ON. He also rescheduled his October 22 concert at Memorial Auditorium in Kitchener, ON, to November 12 because of illness.

Looking ahead to 2009, Kravitz has plans for a world tour that includes the U.S. and Canada and already has a tour booked for France and Switzerland in May. According to the statement on his site, Kravitz "looks forward to seeing all of his Canadian fans again [during the world tour] and once again apologizes for the very unforeseen cancellation."

Kravitz was on tour supporting his latest album, "It Is Time for a Love Revolution," which was released in February.
