New name for Knitting Factory venues
Knitting Factory Entertainment (KFE) is renaming its Big Easy Concert House venues in Boise, ID and Spokane, WA to Knitting Factory Concert House venues. KFE completed a full acquisition of Bravo Entertainment and The Big Easy Concert House venues last fall.
Knitting Factory Entertainment brings 20 years experience in venue management and concert promotions to the new venues. The name change re-enforces Knitting Factory’s commitment to the Boise and Spokane markets by stamping their company signature on the marquees in the respective communities. The Knitting Factory has produced world-class concerts and entertainment that includes up-and-coming artists in both Los Angeles and New York.
Each venue has recently completed face lifts and interior remodeling, including new sound and lighting equipment. The new look has a much warmer and inviting feel that appeals to a wider range of patrons.
“The Knitting Factory brings a commitment and style to the Boise music scene unlike anything we have previously experienced," said Dean Hanson, general manager of the Boise venue, in a statement.
Of KFE, Matt Judge, general manager of the Spokane venue, added, "We have seen exciting new entertainment in the Spokane area such as Modest Mouse, Bright Eyes, Life House, Rob Zombie, and Phil Vassar…just to name a few. Changing the name from the Big Easy Concert House to Knitting Factory Concert House will heighten venue recognition within the industry, helping bring talent that would otherwise be absent in the Spokane market. The Knitting Factory Concert House will continue to be one of the driving forces in the Spokane market.”
