The unconfirmed speculation that Paul McCartney will tour in the fall and that it will be is last world tour keeps popping up across the pond.
"A tour is being talked about, but there is no definite news at the moment." McCartney said through his spokesperson.
The latest from the British tabloid The Sunday Mirror suggests that McCartney will make this his last world tour since he wants to spend more time with his four-year-old daughter Beatrice. The two-year trek starting this fall would take him to Europe, North America, South America, Asia and Australia earning him at least £110 million from the planned 100 concerts. The paper said tour dates were weeks away from being released.
"The tour will be the last time he performs in many parts of the world," an unidentified source told the Mirror. "Beatrice and his family life are going to come first. He does not want to be away for months at a time."
McCartney's last massive tour was back in 1989-90 when played 108 shows; his last tour was in 2002 which earned him £63 million for just 58 shows.

Yes
I know someone who just left a very well paid full time position to tour on this tour this fall.
I think it's pretty much a done deal.
that would be a dream come true for me if he came to america
Hi I've heard that George Michael and Paul McCartney will perform together in Quebec City this Sunday July 20th. Is this true?
George Michael is performing in Montreal Friday July 18 and Paul McCartney is performing a few miles away in Quebec City on Sunday July 20th for the Quebec City 400th anniversary.

correct me if I'm wrong, but it can't be named a "world tour" if he didn't went to ALL the continents.... europe and usa are not "the world".... so, I think he's last world tour was back in '93
A tour is a tour .My wife and I saw Paul Madison Square Garden Oct 5,2005.Lenny Kravitz was behind me and Billy Joel was in front of me.A TOUR IS A TOUR.KNUCKLEHEAD
We are delighted to see that Paul McCartney will possibly be going on tour very soon. We bought tickets to see Ringo Starr in Bethal, Ny. BUT HE DID NOT MAKE IT TO THE CONCERT DUE TO SOME DUMB REASON, THAT HE SHOULD HAVE PREVIOUSLY PLANNED OUT! We are very upset with the poor planning and terrible disaster he has caused. He has lost many fans. Although we will not pass up the opportunity to see Paul live, maybe even twice. SO BRING ON THE TOUR!
Drove 400 miles to not see Ringo at Bethal Woods.
Poor planning and no respect for the fans.
Thanks Ringo for wasting my time.
We too went to Bethel and were sad BUT we walked the grounds of "Woodstock" after hours (very cool indeed) and then proceeded to drive 195 miles to CT the next day to see THE SHOW...and what a show indeed! Totally worth the extra miles and we even waved with epace signs and got a direct response from Mr Starr! So lost fans? "Not a (second) chance" PEACE AND LOVE!
Sure, he plays here-and-there all the time, but his "Space Within US" and "Back in the USSR" shows were very limited compared to his exhausting world tours. At 66, mounting a campaign like that is unimaginable. I have trouble just doing Friday and Saturday nights at the corner bar, and I'm 10 years younger!
"his last tour was in 2002"
His last concert was 2005. He also played a lot between 2002 and 2005 - maybe that was the Russian tour. I saw him in Detriot in 2005 - OUTSTANDING SHOW!
Would love to go again.
I saw the show in Detroit in 10/05....great, especially "Too Many People".
I saw him in Detroit in 2005 on the Friday night show. My wife and I flew from Nashville to go with my best friend and his wife. Dream come true to Paul live!

Just because he didn't tour The USA doesn't mean he didn't tour!
They are talking about a world tour.
I wish reporters would check their facts when writing articles. McCartney did a world tour in 1993. And 2002 was not the last time he toured. He toured again in 2005.
