Rascal Flatts tour announces dates for Bob That Head in 2009
After wrapping their 2008 touring season on November 2, country superstars Rascal Flatts have announced the final round of performances in 2009 for their Bob That Head Tour. The trek is scheduled to reopen on January 17 in Kansas City, MO, and run through March 14 at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Irvine, CA.
Currently set at 20 dates, the complete 2009 itinerary is expected to chart 25 coast-to-coast U.S. performances, according to a statement on the band's official Web site. Tour highlights for Rascal Flatts include a January 30 concert at the Rupp Arena in Lexington, KY, a February 28 gig at the Pepsi Center in Denver, CO, and a March 12 performance at the Cricket Wireless Pavilion in Phoenix, AZ.
Rascal Flatts will continue support for "Still Feels Good," their double-Platinum record and fifth studio album released in September 2007. The musicians have already completed more than 70 concerts in 2008 with approximately 1.2 million fans in attendance, according to a band statement. The country trio also recently released their first "Greatest Hits" compilation in late October.
In a statement released earlier this fall, the country rockers noted that Epic/Columbia Nashville artist Jessica Simpson will open for next year's tour. Though Simpson is primarily known for her pop recordings and movie appearances, she recently completed her country crossover album "Do You Know." The record, released on September 9, peaked on No. 1 on country charts and hit No. 4 on the Billboard 200.
