Ringo Starr and His All-Starr Band have been forced to cancel its concert today, June 21, at the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts in Bethel, NY due to a transportation and equipment breakdown at the United States border. The performance will not be rescheduled.
No additional information was given as to what caused the problem. The tour opened with a two-night performance June 19-20 at the Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls, ONT, and features an All Starr-studded ensemble that includes Colin Hay, Billy Squier, Hamish Stuart, Edgar Winter, and first timer Gary Wright, and on drums, Gregg Bissonette. The 31-date North American tour wraps August 2 at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles.
Live Nation was the concert promoter. Tickets purchased online or by phone will be refunded automatically. Ticket holders who purchased through a Ticketmaster retail location or the Bethel Woods Box Office must request their refund by returning the ticket to the point of purchase in person.
