Sarah Wompisik Unnokon

Sarah Wompisik Unnokon, junior developer for TicketNews.com, brings the Web site development ideas of the team to reality. Sarah joined the TicketNews team in January of 2009, and has enjoyed the challenge that developing for TicketNews has brought. She is currently working on creating a new section of the site called Topics, a comprehensive A-Z index of key ticket industry terms. She builds pages that present topics in an intuitive way. With Topics, readers will be able to more easily find background information and articles that cater to their general and specific interests.

Sarah graduated magna cum laude from Smith College of Northampton Massachussetts in May 2008 with a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science and a minor in Studio Art. She is a twice winner of the Bert Mendelson Prize at Smith, and spent three and a half of her four years as a teacher's assistant for various professors of the Computer Science department.

In addition to her studies of art and computers, Sarah spent her first year at Smith learning Japanese, and later spent her junior year abroad in Kyoto Japan as an exchanged student in the Associated Kyoto Program. Through AKP Smith College, USA and Doshisha University, Japan are sister schools, and this was where she spent much of her time while there. In addition to learning Japanese at Doshisha she and her fellow exchange students visited many temples and historical sites, like the Kyoto Imperial Palace (also called the Gosho), which is located right next to Doshisha.
