Shinedown tour launches in U.S.
Jacksonville, FL hard rock outfit Shinedown, known for their energetic performances, will be out on tour all summer, beginning this week and finishing up August 24 in Nampa, ID.
The five-piece band is touring in support of their third album, "The Sound of Madness" (Atlantic), which garnered them the biggest debut of their career, debuting at #8 on the Billboard 200 album chart, and marking the first Top 10 album of the band's career.
"We put a lot of work into this record," said lead singer Brent Smith in a statement. "I was determined from the beginning to make an album that people would feel was important to them and the world around them. I know we've accomplished that, and it seems that not only our longtime fans, but a lot of new fans, are reacting to what they're hearing. We're very thankful for that."
Produced by multiple Grammy Award-winner Rob Cavallo (Kid Rock, Green Day, My Chemical Romance), "The Sound Of Madness" got off to a monstrous start when its first single, "Devour," became Shinedown's eighth consecutive Top 5 hit at rock radio.
