Smashing Pumpkins tour postpones final Chicago gig

The Smashing Pumpkins postponed their November 22 concert at The Auditorium Theatre in Chicago, IL, until December 8 due to illness. Singer and guitarist Billy Corgan's voice was strained the night before at the same venue according to a report on the band's Web site.

All tickets for the November 22 show will be honored on the new date.

It was the final night of a four-concert homecoming series that started with a November 18-19 set at the Chicago Theatre and was supposed to end on November 21-22 at the Auditorium Theatre. The first three shows went on as scheduled. The rescheduled concert will be a "White Crosses" show as originally scheduled.

The Smashing Pumpkins are on their limited North American 20th Anniversary Tour. They are varying set lists every night and not repeating songs when playing back-to-back shows in a single city with the first night's set called “Black Sunshine” and the second named “White Crosses.” The group is also performing new unreleased material as well as some covers.

The next scheduled Smashing Pumpkins show is November 24 at the Midland Theatre in Kansas City, MO.
