“TicketsNow Launches ‘Fans Up Front’ Resale Transparency Initiative”

(PRNewswire) June 16, 2009 — In a move designed to lead change and reshape the live event ticket resale industry, TicketsNow, a Ticketmaster Entertainment (Nasdaq: TKTM) company, today launched its “Fans Up Front” resale transparency initiative. “Fans Up Front” is the first in a series of fan-focused enhancements that will provide fans of live events with an array of new features designed to provide unmatched insights and visibility into resale ticket purchasing.

People have been saying that for 18 months now
unless you’re already on EI, ask 10 fellow brokers. ask them the sales from tnow vs. stubhub vs. ebay for example, i guarantee you 8 out of 10, if not 10 out of 10 have seen sharp declines of tnow orders. most of the non-EI users have stopped posting their inventory to tnow (which is a pain in the ass to begin with).
Ticketmaster is trying to build back its reputaion before they shut down TNOw. Tnow employees beware, the rumor out there is they are shuting down Tnow. They already told the Pharr office they are done Crystal Lake is next. Mike Domek should be ashamed of himself. All broker need to get off Tnow today.
Fans up front LOL. If they really wanted to be up front with fans, why they don’t disclose the price with TicketMaster fee as the “original price”. They’re just making resellers look greedy and covering TicketMaster’s butt. Another blame the reseller and collect more fees by TicketMaster move.

From day 1 I did not like the idea at all about ticketmaster buying our private broker to broker ticket board and for Many reasons but I will only disclose # 1 CONFLICT OF INTEREST !!! TicketMaster has always been envious about brokers because they ™ have a hard time selling tickets that cost 49.99 and brokers can sell them for 499.99 ! Part of the reason they can’t sell is that in this day and age of Identity theft people prefer to buy from somebody they know and they can always go to their office and buy in person. With ticketmaster you have to buy on-line or phone…Or go into a bad neighborhood where the representative might not speak english and if they do it is very chopy….then when you finally show them how to spell the event you’re looking for you have to show them how to use their system…I have literally turned the screen and keyboard at ritmo latino to precess my own order from a ticketmaster outlet ! If there is not one of these outlets in your neighborood… you have to go to a busy shopping mall…find parking….find the macys in the back of the mall, then go up the myriad of elevators to find the ticketmaster….Then you have to wait until the representative wraps all the gifts she was working on before you got there…. I could go on and on about why “Fans” choose brokers over ticketmaster but it would be a book not an article. Bottomline is : TicketsNow is becoming , is owned by and is nothing less than ticketmasters Broker Name.
AND why they will close their doors soon. LOL. Their people better start posting their resumes on Monster.com.
