Country music superstar Tim McGraw's 34-date Live Your Voice Tour ended July 7 and grossed about $20 million, drawing almost 500,000 fans, according to organizers. Jason Aldean and Halfway to Hazard opened the shows.
The combination arena/amphitheatre tour, which launched May 9, included a handful of festival dates including Stagecoach, New Orleans Jazz Fest, Grand Junction, Greeley Stampede and Milwaukee's Summerfest. The tour marked McGraw's first solo outing following his record-breaking Soul 2 Soul tours with his wife, and fellow country music superstar, Faith Hill.
In a post on McGraw’s website, tour promoter Brian O’Connell of Live Nation said, "It was another great McGraw concert event. It was especially strong given the state of the economy. We worked hard with Tim's team to maintain his cutting edge production, trend setting sponsorship programs but giving the fans a break on the price. The average ticket price was less than $50 compared to most summer tours on the road this year which averaged $75 or $80."
The fan-friendly McGraw made free music downloads available to every fan who bought a ticket to the concert on his website from artists Halfway to Hazard, Lance Miller, Catherine Raney and Judson Spence. The free music downloads will continue through the end of July to give every ticket buyer a chance to participate.
