U.S. dates added to the Scorpions tour
Multi-platinum hard rockers Scorpions have lined up a return leg of U.S. dates on their Humanity Tour 2008 running from August 1 in Kelseyville, CA through August 10 in Chicago, IL. They are touring behind their 21st album, "Humanity – Hour 1." This time around, they will be sharing various stages with Sammy Hagar & the Wabos, Alice Cooper and Ratt.
Scorpions' live shows always feature the band's quintessential hard rock signature songs, from the standards "Rock You Like a Hurricane" and "No One Like You," to their anthems "Still Loving You" and "Wind Of Change."
As Germany's most successful international music export, Scorpions have sold more than 70 million albums worldwide. A video for the track "Humanity" off their new album can be found on the band's official website and YouTube.
For "Humanity – Hour 1," bandmates Klaus Meine (vocals), Rudolf Schenker (rhythm guitars), Matthias Jabs (lead guitars), James Kottak (drums) and Pawel Maciwoda (bass) enlisted acclaimed songwriter/producer Desmond Child (Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, KISS) and producer James Michael to work behind the boards on "Humanity – Hour 1," which was recorded at several Los Angeles studios.
Following this latest U.S. leg, the band heads back to Europe and South America to finish up their on-going worldwide trek.
