WWE, Carrie Underwood tickets on sale
Tickets to upcoming World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) events, and tickets to several stops on country superstar Carrie Underwood’s summer tour, are on sale throughout the weekend ending June 23 as compiled by TicketNews.
Underwood, winner of Season Four of American Idol, has multiple tour dates on sale beginning Saturday morning, June 21. The onsales offerings include concerts in Boston, Detroit, and Cleveland among several others. Saturday also offers a chance to buy tickets to the summer’s joint concert tour of the Counting Crows and Maroon 5, which have tour stops in Kansas City, MO and Birmingham, AL on sale.
The weekend also boasts ticket sales from several other popular artists and groups. British music legend Elton John has two Canadian concerts in the onsales for Monday, while Neil Diamond has an additional concert in New York City’s Madison Square Garden on sale the same day. Saturday morning also brings concert offerings from Flogging Molly, Stone Temple Pilots, and country star Brad Paisley. Up-and-coming rockers The Hush Sound have a concert in Los Angeles on sale Saturday, and guitar-god Santana has two California concerts in the Sunday onsales.
Finally, the weekend offers two major sporting events in the onsales. Tickets for the 2008 X Games 14 go on sale Thursday. On Saturday morning, the WWE has multiple wrestling events on sale for the public, including stops in New York City and Pittsburgh. The WWE events are a mixture of their national Summer Slam tour and their weekly televised wrestling events.
“Onsales” is a ticketing industry term describing when tickets initially go on sale to the general public. Each week, tickets are released by promoters, venues and others to dozens of events, but the number of tickets available can vary significantly between locations.
