AC/DC recently wrapped its U.S. tour for 2009, but the hard rock crew has some unfinished business in the states. The band has nearly 20 international engagements booked through March, but its national fanbase can look up to a couple make-up concerts later in spring 2010.
The group’s performance in Las Vega, NV, originally scheduled for October 3 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, is now set for April 9. Meanwhile, an October 10 event at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, IA, has been rebooked for April 17.
Both date changes were officially confirmed on the official AC/DC Web site. But online fan communities are reporting that Ticketmaster also sent out messages that the October 6 show at Freedom Hall in Louisville, KY, has been rescheduled for April 13. Official confirmation is still forthcoming for the Louisville date, as well as for concerts postponed from October 8 in Kansas City, MO, and October 14 at Bradley Center in Milwaukee, WI.
Rescheduling is not in the stars for all the postponed October concerts, as AC/DC has cancelled its return to Phoenix, AZ. The U.S. Airways Center show had been postponed from its original October 1, but has since been nixed entirely due to “scheduling conflicts,” according to a statement from Live Nation.
Phoenix ticketholders who retained their ducats in hopes of a new show time can return them at the point of purchase for a refund. Original tickets for the Las Vegas and Des Moines concerts will be honored on their new 2010 dates, and remaining tickets for Las Vegas go on sale today (November 30).
Earlier this season, AC/DC was forced to postpone six shows at the start of October when singer Brian Johnson was ordered to rest by doctors. The band returned to the road with an October 16 gig at Verizon Center in Washington, DC, and played its final U.S. date of 2009 on November 19 at the sold-out Amway Arena in Orlando, FL.
