After rolling out tour dates and cities earlier this month, venues are now confirmed for Aerosmith and ZZ Top‘s summer tour itinerary. The tour will launch June 10 at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Maryland Heights, MO, on the outskirts of St. Louis city limits, and conclude September 16 at the Palace of Auburn Hills in Auburn Hills, MI.

The 34-city trek includes coast-to-coast dates for the U.S. and Canada, including a July 3 show at Hersheypark Stadium in Hershey, PA, a July 25 gig at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV, and a September 3 performance at Air Canada Centre in Toronto, ON. According to a recent Billboard interview with Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry, the itinerary is expected to fill out with a total of 40 concerts.

The final presales for currently confirmed dates opened yesterday (April 28). The first public on-sales for the tour began a little more than a week ago, with box offices for most shows now open.

“I have always been a huge fan of ZZ Top,” said Perry, also an accomplished solo musician, in a statement. “I toured with them with the Joe Perry Project, and those shows were unforgettable. With ZZ Top on this bill, it will definitely kick us into overdrive.”

Aerosmith is currently working on a new studio album, their first all-original effort since 2001’s “Just Push Play.” The iconic American rock quintet last toured in 2007, when they played more than 35 shows around the world, including the band’s first concert in India.

During that international run, Aerosmith got into hot water with ticketholders of a Maui concert that was cancelled due to logistical problems. The cancellation resulted in a class action lawsuit, which Aerosmith recently settled by agreeing to recoup travel expenses for would-be concert-goers, as well as supplying free tickets to an upcoming show for approximately 8,300 fans involved in the suit.

The members of ZZ Top, meanwhile, are celebrating their 40th anniversary as a band. The Southern rock trio formed in late 1969, releasing the debut “ZZ Top’s First Album” in 1971. Since then, the group has released more than 10 studio albums and been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. ZZ Top’s most recent studio effort is 2003’s “Mescalero,” which hit No. 57 on the Billboard 200.
