Allison Reitz

Allison Reitz, publisher for TicketNews, focuses on everything from tour announcements and ticket-related updates, to general site development and advertising.

Allison joined the TicketNews team as Concert & Tour Editor in July 2008. At the time, she was a recent graduate of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, where she was awarded a Commonwealth Scholarship for academic excellence. After finishing an honors thesis on visual rhetoric in photojournalism, she graduated summa cum laude with an undergraduate degree in English - Writing, Communication, and Rhetoric.

While pursuing her degree, Allison dedicated most of her spare time to the university's student-run newspaper. Allison began her freshman year as a volunteer staff writer for the Arts & Entertainment section, but also held positions as copy editor and A&E editor before serving as editor-in-chief.

Though deeply engaged in academic work and the school newspaper, Allison also spent her final semester as a part-time editorial and production intern for Hathaway Publishing, a subsidiary of the SouthCoast Media Group. Her responsibilities included providing written and photographic coverage of feature stories, designing page layouts for the local news' weekly print editions, and copy editing.
