Two solid months of performances await Bob Dylan, whose U.S. fall tour launches tonight (October 6) at University Center Arena in Davie, FL. The legendary singer-songwriter’s itinerary is routed through 35 markets — most of them college and university towns like tonight’s opening show.

The musician and His Band previously announced fall tour dates stretched through the early part of November, but with the addition of several new dates, the schedule now wraps at the end of the month with a November 27 concert at MGM Grand Theater in Mashantucket, CT.

One of the newest — and biggest — stops on Dylan’s map is a three-night stand that leads up to Thanksgiving. The November 22-24 run is booked into Terminal 5 in New York, NY, and is closely followed by a post-Thanksgiving performance on November 26 at the Borgata Events Center in Atlantic City, NJ.

Public onsale dates vary depending on the event, but the New York City concerts have ticket sales starting this Friday, October 8. Ticket prices for the three general admission shows are set at $65, according to Ticketmaster.com.

Ticket prices for Dylan’s other tour dates start around the $45 mark in most cities, based on Ticketmaster’s event listings. Presale passwords and specific ticketing details for the tour are available on Dylan’s official Web site.

Dylan was on the road earlier this year for his summer 2010 tour, which included dates supported by John Mellencamp.

Shortly after finishing that round of shows, Dylan announced his initial fall tour plans. That itinerary also was quickly updated to include more fall concert dates at national universities and colleges.
