Bob Grossweiner

Bob Grossweiner has written about music and the music industry for 34 years and has been published in more than 250 publications, including Rolling Stone, The Village Voice, Hit Parader, Rock & Soul, Ad Lib (Japan), Crawdaddy! and Performance, where he was New York Bureau Chief and senior editor for 26 years. He has been quoted in The New York Times, the New York Daily News, the Wall Street Journal, Entertainment Weekly and numerous other publications. He has interviewed over a 2,000 artists, managers, agents, promoters, record company presidents, venue executives and numerous other people in the music industry and has appeared on CNN, MTV and most infamously on "The O'Reilley Report," where he noticed his seat shrinking underneath him during O'Reilly's grilling until he made a last minute comeback, which the evening's subject, Diana Ross & the Supremes and their reunion tour, did not. He also has penned press releases for B.B. King for a decade.

The tag team of Cohen and Grossweiner began at Performance, a weekly that pre-dates Pollstar by about a decade, where they penned the popular Bulletin column. They were also instrumental planners and participants of the annual Performance Summit conferences. After Performance folded, they continued the partnership with consumer sites AllStar and Live Daily as well as various music industry trades, including Audience (U.K.), Tour Guide, CelebrityAccess, Encore and now TicketNews.
