Britney Spears will bring her “Circus” back to North America later this summer for encore performances in select cities and first-run engagements in others. The next round of the Circus Starring Britney Spears kicks off August 20 at Copps Coliseum in Hamilton, ON, and continues through November 26-27 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, NV.

The rebounding pop princess will hit 20 cities during the late summer circuit. National stops include an August 24- 25 stand at Madison Square Garden in New York, NY, a September 9 performance at Allstate Center in Chicago, IL, and a September 23 show at Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA.

In addition to the August 20 opening date, only one other stop is booked for Canada. Spears’s tour bus will stay north of the border through an August 21 performance at Scotiabank Place in Ottawa, ON.

The first public ticket sales begin June 19. AEG Live continues to produce the tour, which cost an estimated $50 million and includes a troupe of nearly 50 dancers, clowns and other “Circus” cast members.

“I’m so excited to bring The Circus back to North America,” Spears said in a statement. “I’ve made some really cool changes to the show that I think my fans are really going to love. I also get to bring the show to some new cities we missed the first time around.”

In addition to the new North American tour leg, Spears also announced her first-ever tour of Australia this week. The six-date arena trek begins November 6 in Perth and continues through November 24 in Brisbane.

Spears is touring behind her sixth studio album, “Circus,” released on December 2. The record and its tour have helped cement the pop singer’s comeback from a long period of well-publicized personal issues.

Spears launched her first 2009 tour of the U.S. and Canada on March 3 at New Orleans Arena in New Orleans, LA. From there, the vocalist performed nearly 30 shows before wrapping her production on April 28 at Allstate Arena in Chicago, IL, and heading overseas where she is currently engaged in a summer tour of Europe.
