Boston-based rock band Aerosmith formed in the early 1970s and quickly made a name for itself on the U.S. market with hits such as “Sweet Emotion” and “Walk This Way.” The band is firmly placed within the world’s 20 top selling artists with more than 66.5 million records sold overall.

Over the years, the band has released more than ten studio albums and toured almost yearly to support each release. Despite the frequency of Aerosmith’s past tours, the group finished its last run of the road in 2007. However, frontman Steven Tyler and guitarist Joe Perry have increasingly commented about the possibility of a new album and tour for the group, building fan anticipation.
