After emerging into the music scene in 1992 with its debut release, No Doubt quickly climbed the radio and album sale charts for its unique blend of pop, punk and ska. The band’s most successful record, 1995’s “Tragic Kingdom,” hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and has been RIAA-certified Diamond.

After nearly 20 years together, the band announced a hiatus and split in 2004. Lead singer Gwen Stefani, meanwhile, began making a name for herself as a solo artist. She released two albums that, like her work with No Doubt, blended a variety of musical genres. Over the years, Stefani also became known as a style icon for her unique fashion sense.

In early 2009, No Doubt announced its reformation. The band subsequently booked a summer-long tour of the United States to cement its comeback, and a new studio album was also announced as being in the works for release later in the year.
