Chicago-based band Wilco is an American alternative rock band that formed in 1994. Their name comes from the voice procedure tern “wilco” meaning “will comply.” Wilco has released seven studio albums, a live double album and three collaborations. “Yankee Hotel Foxtrot” is Wilco’s most successful album, after being released over much controversy. They won two Grammy Awards for their fifth studio album “A Ghost Is Born” including Best Alternative Music Album.
Wilco went on tour fall 2009 and are now looking forward to another tour in 2010, hitting North America for one month. The band also scheduled to make a special appearance at the 2010 Winter Olympics.
