Tickets for upcoming Chicago Cubs Spring Training games as well as tickets for upcoming play-off appearances from the New York Giants are on sale throughout the week ending January 10 as compiled by TicketNews.
The onsales are quite favorable to sports fans this week. On sale Tuesday morning are tickets to the New York Giants’ upcoming play-off game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Tuesday morning also marks an opportunity for fans of the Chicago Cubs to buy tickets to the lovable losers’ Spring Training games held in Mesa, AZ. In other baseball news, the Atlanta Braves have several games on sale Saturday that will be played at Disney’s Wide World of Sports in Florida.
In addition to the chance to buy tickets to high profile sporting events, there are several chances this week to buy tickets to see popular recording artists live in concert. County superstar Toby Keith has shows in Kentucky in the onsales for Saturday. Rockers 3 Doors Down have a concert in Bloomington, IL on sale Saturday morning as well. Friday’s onsales include tickets to catch the Beach Boys and Willie Nelson in separate concerts in Florida.
Rounding out the week are chances to see several of today’s hottest comics perform their stand-up routines. Dennis Leary, comedian and star of the FX drama “Rescue Me,” has a show in Texas in the onsales for Friday. Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar, co-hosts of the ABC morning talk show “The View,” will be appearing together in Connecticut, with tickets for the event also on sale beginning Friday. Finally, Howie Mandel, host of the hit NBC game show “Deal or No Deal,” will be appearing in Verona, NY. Tickets for the event are also on sale Friday morning.
“Onsales” is a ticketing industry term describing when tickets initially go on sale to the general public. Each week, tickets are released by promoters, venues and others to dozens of events, but the number of tickets available can vary significantly between locations.
