Cirque du Soleil will return to the Washington, D.C. area at a new venue this fall with its latest touring production, called KOOZA. The show is set to open on Oct. 30 at The Plateau at National Harbor under the trademark blue-and-yellow Grand Chapiteau (big top) for a limited engagement.
Tickets will be available exclusively to Cirque Club members at Cirque’s website beginning May 7 for a brief time. Club membership is free.
KOOZA is a return to the origins of Cirque du Soleil by combining two circus traditions, acrobatic performance and the art of clowning. The show highlights the physical demands of human performance in all its splendor and fragility, presented in a colorful mélange that emphasizes bold slapstick humor.
Tickets are $55 to $125 (adults), $38.50 to $87.50 (Children ages 2-12 years), and $49.50 to $112.50 (Tuesday-Thursdays and Fridays 4pm for students and seniors).
A VIP Tapis Rouge package includes one of the best seats in the house as well as access to the VIP suite one hour before the show and during intermission. The adult package is available for $215 and the child package for $150.50 (ages 2-12). Prices include taxes. The show will run Tuesdays through Thursdays at 8 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays at 4 p.m. and 8 p.m., and Sundays at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. There are no performances on Mondays.
