Collective Soul and up-and-coming pop musician Gavin DeGraw are two of the latest acts to team up for a co-headlining tour this summer. The pair’s collaborative venture launches June 22 at the House of Blues in Cleveland, OH, and features just a dozen stops on its itinerary.

The tour will mostly hit states in the Midwest and along the southeastern seaboard. Highlights include a June 24 concert at the Murat Egyptian Room in Indianapolis, IN, a July 11 concert at the Lifestyle Communities Pavilion in Columbus, OH, and a July 15 closing show at Revolution in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

The first public on-sales for the tour started over the weekend on May 15. Fort Worth-based quintet Green River Ordinance, which supported Collective Soul on a previous tour, will open each night’s performance throughout the dozen-show run.

“We are excited to get back out on the road this summer, and are delighted it’s with Gavin,” said Collective Soul frontman Ed Roland in a statement. “The band have always been big fans, and we look forward to some great shows.”

DeGraw added to the statement, “Collective Soul is a great group of guys with a great sound. I partied with them in the fabulous city of Atlanta. It’s going to be an exciting tour and I am looking forward to it.”

Collective Soul is currently in the studio working on its eight studio album, tentatively scheduled for release in September. While completing work on that effort, the band continues touring behind its 2007 release “Afterwords.”

Meanwhile, DeGraw is supporting his third studio album, “Free,” which hit the streets on March 31. While the release has garnered mostly favorable reviews, it has failed to chart as well as DeGraw’s previous efforts, debuting and peaking at No. 19 on the Billboard 200.
