Australia’s resident pop powerhouse Kylie Minogue has announced her first-ever North American tour. Over the course of her 20-year career, Minogue has become an international superstar, but her fame never translated long-term in the U.S. and Canada. Could this be the tour to change everything?

Matisyahu has a wild summer ahead of him as he co-headlines separate tours with Les Claypool and Umphrey’s McGee, hits some of the nation’s festivals and performs a block of solo dates with support from K’naan. The Allman Brothers Band might have to divert plans for their 200th show at the Beacon Theatre if Cirque du Soleil begins its expected open-ended run at the venue. In other venue news, Live Nation plans to unload three of its Boston-area venues to the regional Boston Opera House Ventures, LLC, run by concert industry vets Don Law and David Mugar.

Rascal Flatts has added a couple additional shows to the end of its summer 2009 tour itinerary. The new gigs pad a hole in the band’s mid-September calendar on September 17 at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, MN, and September 19 at The Palace of Auburn Hills in Auburn Hills, MI. The tour, currently standing at 30 shows, begins June 5 at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Maryland Heights, MO, and ends October 18 at Konocti Harbor Amphitheatre in Kelseyville, CA.

Aerosmith has confirmed a couple new stops for its 2009 concert calendar. The recently confirmed dates are inked for August 21 at Staples Center in los Angeles, CA, and September 14 at Madison Square Garden Arena in New York, NY. Aerosmith’s tour — their first since 2007 — kicks off June 10 at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Maryland Heights, MO, and concludes September 16 at The Palace of Auburn Hills in Auburn, MI, with 40 shows booked in total. ZZ Top will co-headline with Steven Tyler’s crew on most dates of the tour.

B.B. King has 10 U.S. concerts remaining for his spring tour, but the musician also has rolled out new dates for more summer tour dates in the U.S. His summer run kicks off August 19 at DTE Energy Music Theatre in Clarkston, MI, and has more than 10 shows confirmed through October 9 at the House of Blues in Cleveland, OH. King’s next show is May 16 at the House of Brews in Las Vegas, NV, and he’ll stay on the road through the end of the month with a May 31 performance at the House of Blues in Dallas, TX.

Better Than Ezra has rolled out a second leg of dates for its summer tour of the U.S.. The first leg of the tour runs from May 29-30 at the House of Blues in New Orleans, LA, through June 28 at Summerfest in Milwaukee, WI. The new round of shows begins July 10 at Bottle & Cork in Dewey Beach, DE, and has dates through August 21 at Power Plant Live in Baltimore, MD. Other stops include a July 19 show at 3rd & Lindsley in Nashville, TN, and an August 13 concert at Palaza de Cesar Chavez in San Jose, CA. BTE has at least four concerts coming in October.

Fleet Foxes, the nation’s latest indie sensation, is developing plans for a summer tour of the U.S. and Canada. The band has confirmed nine concerts so far, with the schedule revolving around a few major festival appearances in the States: July 31 at All Points West in Jersey City, NJ; August 1 at Newport Folk Festival in Newport, RI; and August 7 at Lollapalooza in Chicago, IL. The schedule includes concerts on July 29 at 9:30 Club in Washington, DC; August 3 at Metropolis in Montreal, QC; and August 9 at First Avenue in Minneapolis, MN.
