Following a much anticipated performance during halftime of Super Bowl XLIII in Tampa, FL, rock superstar Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band are planning to head out on a tour that will encompass 50 to 60 stops, according to Rolling Stone. The tour will be in support of his newest album, “Working on a Dream,” which will be released on January 27.

While the economy struggles, the fate of the Rothbury Festival had been in question after the Double JJ Resort, where the event is held, filed for Bankruptcy. Although it is not a done deal, the music festival improved its odds of being held when a U.S. Bankruptcy judge approved a lease agreement between event promoter AEG Live and bankruptcy trustee Thomas Bruinsma. The festival would be in its second year, last year’s event included performers like Dave Matthews Band, John Mayer and 311.

TFL and ATBS for ticketing professionals

Country superstar Toby Keith has add five dates to his tour schedule in January and February. The two-time Academy of Country Music “Entertainer of the Year” will play at the IP Casino, Resort and Spa on Saturday, January 10. The four other dates added to his itinerary are penciled in for next month: February 5 at Asheville Civic Center in Asheville, NC, February 6 at Freedom Hall in Louisville, KY, February 7 at Eastern Kentucky Exposition Center in Pikeville, KY and February 21 in Rockford MetroCentre in Rockford, IL.

Lead singer of Poison Bret Michaels has added four dates to his U.S. tour itinerary. The star of VH1’s reality show “Rock of Love”, which is currently on its third season, will be touring beginning next month, the new dates he added were: February 6 in Dubuque, IA at Mississippi Moon, February 8 in Libertyville, IL at Austin’s Fuel Room, February 9 in Green Bay, WI at Oneida Bingo & Casino and March 14 in Detroit, MI at MotorCity Casino & Hotel.

Rock group Blues Travler has added new U.S. dates to its tour itinerary which will include a trip to Australia in April. The band that rose to fame following the 1995 hit single “Run Around” will be adding eight dates to their tour. Prior to their trip “Down Under”, they added three of those stops: February 13 in Fort Lauderdale, FL at Culture Room, March 20 in Alexandria, LA at North Levee Park, and March 28 in Johnstown, PA at the University of Pittsburgh. After their return they added the other five stops: May 4 in Chicago, IL at McCormick Place, June 9 in Ridgefield, CT at the Ridgefield Playhouse, June 10 in Glen Allen, VA at Innsbrook Pavilion, June 12 in West Palm Beach, FL at the Performing Arts Center, and June 14 in Utica, NY at the Saranac Brewery.
