A hard rock tour de force will hit cities across the nation this summer as Def Leppard teams with Poison and special guest Cheap Trick for a massive headlining tour. The trek kicks off June 23 at Susquehanna Bank Center in Camden, NJ, and closes out September 6 at San Manuel Amphitheater in Devore, CA.

The extensive U.S. run will perform at arenas and amphitheaters in 40 cities from coast to coast. Stops include a June 30 show at Comcast Center in Mansfield, MA, a July 11 concert at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Virginia Beach, VA, an August 15 performance at Lakewood Amphitheatre in Atlanta, GA, and a September 5 event at the MGM Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV. One show is booked for Canada on July 4 at The Molson Amphitheatre in Toronto, ON.

Public onsales begin March 6 through Live Nation, which is producing the trek nationally. Citi cardholders will have access to a special presale beginning March 4 through the company’s Private Pass program.

“I’m very pleased that we are coming back to North America,” said Def Leppard vocalist Joe Elliott in a statement. “We’re gonna be touring with some new friends and some old friends and can guarantee it will be the rock tour of the summer.”

Poison frontman Bret Michaels added, “There is nothing better than an epic summer concert and this tour is a dream come true for rock ‘n’ roll fans. It will be a night of a thousand hits with three hard-charging rock bands on the road together.”

Def Leppard was on tour across North America for much of 2008, first with an early spring co-headlining tour with REO Speedwagon and Styx, and then again with a month-long solo tour in August.

Last year, Poison also had a large-scale summer tour with Dokken and Sebastian Bach, while Cheap Trick was out on the road as a part of a 48-city tour with Journey and Heart.
