Tickets for upcoming concerts by country legend Dolly Parton as well as tickets for the upcoming 2008 NHL season are on sale throughout the week ending September 13 as compiled by TicketNews.
This week boasts quite a few hot concerts in the onsales. Friday’s onsales start off with a chance to snag tickets to catch some of the country’s best loved country artists. Country staple Dolly Parton has a tour stop in Louisville on sale Friday morning, while country crooner Alan Jackson has stops in California and Ohio on sale Friday with a stop in Kentucky in the onsales for Saturday.
Also on sale Friday are tickets to catch Michael Buble’s national tour stops in Louisiana, Florida, and Mississippi. Neil Diamond and Neil Young each have their own shows in Kansas City, MO on sale Friday as well. Rounding out the onsales for Friday are additional performances for the upcoming tour of Trans-Siberian Orchestra and tickets to catch British singer James Blunt in a couple of Canadian shows.
Saturday offers another chance to catch high profile musicians on tour, with tickets available for Celine Dion’s concert in Ontario. Also in the onsales for Saturday are tickets for upcoming stops on the joint tour between Kelly Clarkson and Reba McEntire and several tour dates for the rock band Jack’s Mannequin.
Finally, this week offers a chance for hockey fans to buy tickets for the upcoming season. The Tampa Bay Lightning have tickets in the onsales for today and the Boston Bruins have tickets in the onsales for Saturday morning.
“Onsales” is a ticketing industry term describing when tickets initially go on sale to the general public. Each week, tickets are released by promoters, venues and others to dozens of events, but the number of tickets available can vary significantly between locations.
