Three of the biggest names in jazz-rock and blue-eyed soul are uniting under one banner for a fall tour of the United States. Music icons Donald Fagen, Michael McDonald and Boz Scaggs will perform more than 20 shows together as the Dukes of September Rhythm Revue.

The Dukes launch their six-week tour on August 19 at Charles Ives Center in Danbury, CT, and continue on the road at least through October 2, when they’ll perform at The Joint in Las Vegas, NV.

Along the way, the Dukes will also perform on August 20 at the Borgata in Atlantic City, NJ; August 31 at the Wang Theatre in Boston, MA; September 11 at the Chicago Theatre in Chicago, IL; and September 29 at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, CA.

Public ticket sales begin June 18, with presales starting earlier in the week. Ticket face values are set in the range of $35 to $75, according to a handful of listings that are currently viewable on Ticketmaster.com.

The “Rhythm Revue” will feature selections from the catalogues of Steely Dan (of which Fagen and McDonald were members) and The Doobie Brothers (which McDonald joined in 1975), as well as tracks from the musicians’ solo careers and jazz/soul/blues standards.

On the road, the iconic musicians will be backed by additional band members, as well as a horn section.

“We’ll be playing the kind of R&B tunes that made us want to be musicians way back when, as well as select numbers from our personal repertoires,” Fagen said in a prepared statement. “We’ve enlisted a swell group of players and singers — in fact, I’m so excited that I just can’t hide it.”

The upcoming tour will not be the first show featuring the three musicians on stage together. Fagen, McDonald and Scaggs joined nearly two decades ago for a touring show called “The New York Rock and Soul Revue.” Similar to the upcoming outing, the previous treks featured a wide variety of songs and on-stage collaborators.
