eBay Announces Plans to Buy StubHub!

eBay officially announced its plans to buy secondary market key player StubHub! today. Reportedly, the “fan’s ticket marketplace” will be purchased for $310 million in cash.
It is news that anyone with a finger on the pulse of the ticketing industry has been waiting for. Today’s press release, as well as a message from Bill Cobb, president of eBay Marketplaces North America, is posted on the website confirming the rumor of the deal.
The acquisition is expected to close in the first quarter of 2007.
