Elton John and Leon Russell are little more than a month away from the October 19 release of their studio collaboration “The Union.”
After unveiling a couple scattered U.S. shows to support the effort, the pair has expanded their Union Tour to include shows on both sides of the Atlantic. New U.S. engagements have been set for October 5 at Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, CA, and November 6 at U.S. Airways Center in Phoenix, AZ.
John and Russell also announced one show for audiences across the pond on October 28 at The Roundhouse in London, England.
Ticket onsales begin this Friday, September 17, for the pair’s performance in Ontario, CA. Public onsales for the Phoenix, AZ, show follow on Monday, September 20. Prices range from $66 to $167 in Ontario and from $26.25 to $136.25 in Phoenix, according to Ticketmaster.com.
The piano-playing veterans previously announced co-headline engagements on October 19 at the Beacon Theatre in New York, NY, and November 3 at the Hollywood Palladium in Hollywood, CA.
Though not part of their official tour itinerary, the musicians will also take the stage together on three dates of T-Bone Burnett’s traveling “Speaking Clock Revue” show. The bi-coastal revue gathers musicians who have worked with Burnett — including John and Russell, whose “Union” was produced by the industry legend — to benefit the music-and-arts education organization the Participant Foundation.
Burnett’s headline concerts, which count Elvis Costello and John Mellancamp among the artists in attendance, are booked for October 16 at the Wang Center in Boston, MA, and October 20 at Beacon Theatre in New York, NY. But T-Bone and friends will also stage their revue on the second day of Neil Young’s annual Bridge School Benefit show — October 24 at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, CA.
