Pop-punk giant Fall Out Boy has announced plans for a headlining extravaganza to support the group’s latest studio release. The Believers Never Die Part Deux tour will launch April 3 at Mesa Amphitheatre in Mesa, AZ, and conclude May 17 at Roy Wilkins Auditorium in Minneapolis, MN.

The 32-city trek will visit markets from coast to coast across North America. Featured performances include an April 10 show at the WaMu Theater in Seattle, WA, an April 17 concert at Nokia Theatre in Dallas, TX, an April 28 gig at the Tsongas Arena in Lowell, MA, a May 5 show at Ricoh Coliseum in Toronto, ON, and a May 9 performance at Allstate Arena in Rosemont (Chicago), IL.

The tour will feature a four-band supporting bill, featuring alt-rock group Cobra Starship, pop rockers Metro Station, pop-punk crew All Time Low, and relative newcomers Hey Monday. All the bands will also perform sets on May 2 at the 2009 Bamboozle Festival, which Fall Out Boy is co-headlining with No Doubt.

Public onsales begin in eight cities on January 23, and tickets for the remaining dates will be available beginning January 31. Members of the Fall Out Boy fan club Overcast Kids will have presale access to all tour dates on January 21.

Fall Out Boy recently released its fifth studio album, “Folie à Deux,” on December 16. Following its release, the album peaked on the Billboard 200 at No. 8. The album’s chart performance was disappointing in comparison to the 2007 precursor, “Infinity on High,” which topped the charts.

Before launching the spring North American outing, Fall Out Boy will complete the previously announced winter international tour, with stops in Europe, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. Late last year, the band announced scattered dates for an intimate club concert series, booked in November and December.
