Compete.com lists TicketNetwork's growth above competitors in 2009
PRESS RELEASE: "TicketNetwork.com's Rapid Growth Surpasses Major Competitors"
VERNON, CT (TicketNetwork) December 15, 2009 -- TicketNetwork.com, a leading source for global event ticket inventory, announced today that the number of visitors to TicketNetwork.com has grown more than 135% during 2009, surpassing industry giant and prime competitor Stubhub by 110% (source: compete.com). Sales grew over fifty percent in Q4 alone proving strong interest among sports, concert and theatre ticket shoppers.
"Over the past several months we have invested numerous resources into transforming our retail store into a clean, simple, and effective shopping experience that is free of gimmicks," said Don Vaccaro, CEO, TicketNetwork.com. "Our loyal customers, and those who were previously loyal to our competitors, have expressed interest in these features and can find assurance in our 100% guarantee and secure shopping experience," added Vaccaro.
TicketNetwork's team works diligently to offer hard-to-find tickets on the day they go on-sale, to the point when its competitors list inventory as "sold out." According to Vaccaro, TicketNetwork prides itself on its robust, global ticket selection to major live events such as:
-- College bowl games including match-ups that feature the Alabama Crimson Tide
-- Theater performances such as Wicked, the Lion King, and Jersey Boys
-- Concerts featuring Taylor Swift, Bon Jovi, and Lady Gaga
-- Other major sporting events including, but not limited to, the NBA and NFL
In January, TicketNetwork plans to launch additional customer focused enhancements that will further differentiate TicketNetwork.com from competing online ticket sales marketplaces.

Ticketnetwork kills stubhub in concert ticket sales. I only wish they could do more baseball
you kidding right??? stubhub kills ticketnetwork in every catagory.
in everything except baseball
That's not even close to being true. The discrepancy between StubHub's sales and Ticket Network's sales is massive, and it reaches across pretty much every category. Ask almost anyone if they know what StubHub is and they say yes, because StubHub has branded and marketed itself in the mainstream media, while Ticket Network has to resort to tactics like spamming Craigslist.
what do you think the difference is in concert vs sports try a percentage
I'd say stubhub does 500% more than TND, that's just a wild guess. You may see more TND sales simply because they only have 20% of the inventory that stubhub does, or because a lot of brokers use fuffillment, so your tickets are listed 15% cheaper, and will obviously sell faster.
If your tickets are listed at the same price on stubhub and on TND sites, you'll sell about 5x the tickets on stubhub that you will TND
