In the lead up to this weekend's Super Bowl XLVI, tickets for the big game took over the top spot in TicketNews' exclusive events rankings for the week ending Sunday, February 5.

The championship game, which also took Lucas Oil Stadium to the top of TicketNews' venues rankings for a second week, was a rematch between the Patriots and their Super Bowl XLII foes, the New York Giants. On February 5, the Giants repeated their win of four years ago behind a catch by wide receiver Mario Manningham which set up a fourth quarter comeback for Big Blue, ending the game in a 21-17 win.

The much anticipated tour of rock icon Bruce Springsteen proved too much for hit musical "Wicked", with Springsteen edging out the long-running Broadway production for second place in the week's rankings.

Since tickets went on sale to the public on January 27, Springsteen has held firm to the No. 1 spot on TicketNews' Top Concert rankings. Springsteen's 19-city tour kicks off at Philips Arena in Atlanta, GA on March 18 and wrap up on May 2 on Springsteen's home turf at Prudential Center in Newark, NJ.

Other musical artists to make the top ten this week included the reunited Van Halen, featuring the return of David Lee Roth, in at No. 4, and alternative rockers the Red Hot Chili Peppers at No. 8. Legendary former Pink Floyd bassist Roger Waters', who brings a revamped production of "The Wall" to North American audiences this spring, finished at No. 9.
