a big tour makes big waste, see-
http://www.musicnewsnet.com/2009/07/u2-tour-massive-carbon-footprint-rev...
U2 BOUGHT CARBON CREDITS TO OFFSET WHAT DAMAGE THEY WILL BE DOING
BUT MAL DOESNT BOTHER TO MENTION THAT
please enlighten us with details on their offsets... the band and their PR firm aren't talking about it..
from the Belfast Telegraph- "U2’s PR agency RMP did not return a request asking if the band were buying carbon offsets to contribute towards the damage of their enormous emissions."
You could either go to U2.com and click on "tour" and see the Live Nation statement that says "live nation committed to net zero emmisions for the U2 360 global tour or you could click on this :

Next time do a little more fact checking on these things,I think your post was just an attempt to slag off the band and I'm sure even if you knew that the band had taken steps to counteract their carbon footprint, you wouldn't have mentioned it anyway
Elightened now?
