House of Blues makes online ticket sales exclusive to LiveNation.com
Live Nation, owner of the House of Blues venue chain and promotions company, moved all online ticket sales in-house on Wednesday, January 6. Previously, event tickets for the chain had been available through both LiveNation.com and Ticketmaster.com. In addition to the change in primary market availability, the move also means consumers are faced with with Live Nation's often-higher markups on "ticket fees" (also known as "convenience fees").
