Spider-Man musical falls victim to poor economy
The musical "Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark," which was scheduled for previews in February 2010, has been delayed due to budget woes, according to a story in the New York Times. With production costs reportedly slated to be upwards of $40 million, the expensive musical has been halted due to an "unexpected cash flow problem," the shows producers told the Times. The show was to be directed by Julie Taymor and feature music by U2's Bono and The Edge.
