Washington Post series: Washington Redskins sue season ticket holders
In Part 2 of a scathing series exposing the behind-the-scenes dealings of how the Washington Redskins handle the team's season tickets, The Washington Post looks at the toll the team's lawsuits against season ticket holders is affecting them. In recent years, the team has sued well over 100 season ticket holders who tried to get out of their ticket commitments, many of whom had fallen on hard times due to the current recession. The team claims it doesn't want to sue fans, but is forced to for business reasons. However, nine NFL teams, including the New York Jets and Giants, said they do not sue fans over such season ticket disputes. The team has sold hundreds of tickets taken from these season ticket holders to ticket brokers.
