Phoenix Coyotes slash opening night ticket prices
The NHL's Phoenix Coyotes, already facing bankruptcy, are slashing ticket prices for its October 10 season opener to $25 for all lower level seats and $15 for all those in the upper level. But, according to Yahoo Sports, current season ticket holders, who paid significantly more for the same seats, will not be paid the difference but will instead receive free tickets to that game, based on the number of season tickets they have. As an added bonus in the hope of filling the Jobing.com Arena for the opener, the team is also bringing back the "WhiteOut," where fans wear white as a morale booster.
