FirstDIBZ, the forward market ticket company, lost one of its special advisors and directors last weekend with the passing of former politician and professional football star Jack Kemp.
Kemp was Bob Dole’s Vice Presidential running mate in 1996, and he joined FirstDIBZ several years ago when the Chicago-based company still went by the name The Ticket Reserve. FirstDIBZ officials declined to comment on Kemp’s passing.
In recent months, the company has been embroiled in scandal when it fell victim to a massive fraud. The scam involved ticket futures, or “dibz,” that were erroneously sold and resold, which the company claimed resulted in substantial financial losses.
Following the scam, the company reached out to additional business leaders to advise it on its operations and security, including members of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. Other members of FirstDIBZ Board of Directors are CEO Rick Harmon; co-founder Herbert Rudoy; Joseph Ianniello of CBS Corp.; and business and financial consultant Ash Narayan.
Kemp, a nationally admired Republican politician, served as Secretary of Housing and Urban Development under President George H.W. Bush, and he was also a member of several other advisory boards, including Dawntreader Ventures, Knowledge Universe Learning Inc., Landair and Liberty Global Partners, LLC.

This should be the link
No money for me either. Have they mentioned anything to anyone since May 1st? I would love to hear what the hell “accelerating our payout program” means…is there any need for a class action suit by the way?
Anybody get money back from FD after the May 1st date? I know I didn’t (although I fall into the credit card chargeback category)
Still no cash back from them, but they did honor my Cavs tickets. Even shipped them to me more than a week in advance.
Same comments as the rest. I’m another of many that has over a $1000. on deposit or in an account with FirstDibz. I have requested the return of my money and have been given all the same BS response and lies from the real scammers here (FIRSTDIBZ). In addition to them stealing my money they also provided false advertising, and have engaged in fraudulent activities. Along with all of these issues add to it the fact that I paid for 2 winning DIBZ which according to their own site and contract guaranteed tickets for the Super bowl. Yet as you all know they were never honored. This article points out the political and powerful ties to this company which presents no surprise why they are still allowed to stay in business. If the attorney general office was truly doing their job in the interests of the consumer they would all be in jail including the board of directors until all purchases were made whole and all requested refunds were paid. Yet we know the political system is just as corrupt and could be part of the problem. After little cooperation from their office I just received a response from the OFFICE OF LISA MADIGAN that acknowledges the matter is not resolved and stated “since formal action by this office is not warranted we are closing your file.” An even bigger joke that we don’t even have anyone to protect us yet we are paying their salaries too! It is truly unfortunate that so many of us have been taken advantage of. I see very little written lately on this issue but wish someone would really investigate this properly. Whether we’ll ever see our money is doubtful. They’ll just string us out longer, take so other victims money along the way and then file for bankrupcy and open up under a new name. In doing some research I read some legal news which implied that FirstDIBZ even stiffed the NCAA basketbal league ove $200K for final four tickets. Imagine that. If that is true and it is that recent and the attorney general office thinks no action is warranted against this company we need to not only put some people out of business but also vote some people out of office!
I have to believe the NCAA will get their money before we do, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t get their money either.
Look what you did Jacob!
Jacob, who is Jacob? Did they ever catch the criminals behind this scam? I hope they go to prison for a long time.
My name is Jacob…but I’m not involved…my math question was 11
Nope…still waiting.
Your story is the same as mine except I took an offer on the super bowl tickets that was below market value. They wouldn’t even let me put it in my brothers name to pick up the tickets so I really didn’t have much choice. It does almost seem like they knew they were running out of money so they promised money they knew they wouldn’t pay in order to get the tickets back.
yeah, when I purchased the dibz I was told I could give them someone else’s name for pickup or delivery, and that either Fedex to my house hotel, or pickup in Tampa – my choice. Then, when the SB teams were determined, oh sorry, no name transfers and you must pick up in Tampa. Obviously hoping that people that weren’t going to Tampa would take their offer to buy back tickets, all the while knowing that they didn’t have the money to give to those people. These guys are lying scum.
I have not received any money nor reply e-mails or call backs. This company is full of shit. I gave them the benefit of the doubt when this whole thing went down because of previous experiences with their customer service but now… F them, i hope they go belly up.
Sorry for the loss ticketreserve.com

WHERE IS OUR MONEY?
I’m guessing that since they seem to be fulfilling new orders, they want to stay in business, however I think the people they owe money to (like me), are going to have to wait until when/if they get extra capital invested in the company. Given the bad pr hit this company took, and the state of the economy, who would want to invest in this company now? I think we’ll either never see our money, or it will take a long time.
By the way, I agree with others – this company sucks. Not because they supposedly were screwed by some scammers, but because they’ve lied to me and others throughout this ordeal. They made me an above market offer to “buy” back my superbowl tickets that I won. Because of their bs delivery day/time and location, I accepted their offer. The problem is, they never paid me for the tickets, and I think they knew this all along when they made me my offer. I wonder how many others got screwed in this way.
They also owe me for udibz refunds and reparations. Luckily I’ve gotten back most of my money through (temporary?) credit card refunds.
Can you post the link to the case with the NCAA. Would be curious to read it.
Has anyone been paid yet?
I don’t get it. They say that they are going to start paying May 1. It’s now June 9, what gives?
At this point, I would guess they are dealing with the lawsuits first and getting on board with the class action lawsuit is probably the best bet.
You can read about it in the prior ticketnews article. The attorney referenced is Daniel Edelman.
Where is everybody’s money Firstdibz?
You said May 1st you would start processing withdraw requests, and now its July 7th and you are still ignoring people.
Where is my money? They better pay soon.
Tell me somebody has gotten paid?!!
Just logged into my account and after I logged out…I was brought to a “TTR Productions” page which gives details about the forward market…anybody else seen this? Looks like they are looking for investors, buyers, etc…?
I’m not sure what they are doing. I just want my hard earned money. Has anyone gotten paid?
